Aaron Linwood McIntosh

Aaron Linwood McIntosh, 32, a man of immense heart and infectious spirit passed away on May 6, 2006. Aaron was born in Maryland to Linda Thomas Sollinger and James McIntosh on July 15, 1993. He graduated from Hammond High School and University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He built a life marked by determination, kindness, and a spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Aaron’s smile truly lit the world, bringing warmth, laughter, and comfort to family, friends, and even strangers. While he had many passions in life, including his love for motorcycles and an enthusiasm for soccer, his greatest accomplishment and deepest pride was being an extraordinary father to his beloved son, Ayden. Aaron’s love for Ayden was immeasurable, and he dedicated himself fully to being the most amazing father he could be.

Aaron is survived by his cherished son, Ayden McIntosh; his loving mother, Linda Thomas Sollinger; step-father, Chris Sollinger; father, James E. McIntosh Sr.; half-siblings James Jr., Milan and Mica McIntosh; his devoted grandparents, Skip and Merle Thomas and Eastlyn McIntosh, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Aaron was preceded in death by his beloved aunt Karen White.

Though Aaron’s life was far too short, the love he shared and the light he brought into the world will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on in his son and in the hearts of all who loved him.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm on Thursday, May 14, and on Friday, May 15 from 1:00 – 2:00pm at Raymer-Kepner Chapel, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. All are invited to celebrate Aaron’s life on Friday, May 15 from 2 to 3 pm at Raymer-Kepner Chapel. A reception will follow. Links for directions may be found below.
