Addie Joyce Jones, a cherished resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on February 12, 1939, in Aiken, South Carolina, Addie lived a vibrant life that was characterized by joy, independence, and adventure.

Addie pursued her education at a vocational school, ultimately establishing a meaningful career as a unit secretary in the healthcare field. Throughout her professional journey, she was known for her dedication and unwavering work ethic, traits that earned her the respect of colleagues and patients alike.

Her personality was a beacon of light; Addie was often described as joyful, always smiling, and possessing a delightful sense of humor. She loved to laugh, talk, and dance, often engaging friends and family with her infectious spirit. In her later years, she developed a fondness for chicken wings, a testament to her love for the simple pleasures in life. Throughout her life, Addie's love for blues music resonated deeply with her, and she mastered her favorite dance, the Huckabuck, which she enjoyed sharing with those around her.

An independent soul, Addie explored many corners of the country, traveling either by car or by plane to visit friends. For over 40 years, she remained a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witness faith, which was an integral part of her life and identity.

Addie leaves behind her beloved daughter, Naderiah Bodrick (Charles), and her cherished grandchildren, Cierra and Camille Bodrick, who will carry forward her legacy of laughter and love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Festus Harris Sr. and Susie Mae Harris, who surely welcomed her with open arms.
