Harrisburg, NC

Ann Icard Warren, 80, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, peacefully slipped into the loving arms of Jesus on November 5, 2026, at the Harris Hospice Unit with her family at her side.

Ann, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on November 18, 1945, in Henderson, North Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late Arvil Woodrow Icard and Alice Reid Icard. Ann's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith.

Ann shared a blessed union of 59 years with her devoted husband, Ralph Warren, whom she married on July 1, 1967. Together, they created a beautiful family and shared countless moments of joy and devotion. Their shared passion for music was evident as they sang together in church and choir, where Ann's beautiful alto voice touched many hearts.

In her early life Ann attended Gardner-Webb College after graduating from East Mecklenburg High School in 1964. It was during her time working at Western Electric that she met Ralph, sparking a lifelong love. Following their marriage, Ann dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom and homemaker, nurturing her family with love and care.

Ann actively participated in the life of Newell Baptist Church. Her commitment to the church choir was unwavering, and she formed many lasting friendships within the congregation. In recent years she has faithfully attended Providence Baptist Church. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through trials with hope and perseverance.

Known for her generosity and kindness, Ann often gave belongings and money to family and friends. Ann had a unique ability to bring laughter and joy to those around her without effort. Her love for others was evident in her actions and her warm, welcoming spirit. Her talents extended to crochet, where she lovingly crafted items for others, and in her later years, she enjoyed playing word games on her iPad, achieving impressive levels.

Ann's greatest joy came from her family and she treasured any time spent with them. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Warren, and her cherished daughters, Jill Eller (husband Roy) and Alyce Traynham (husband Todd). She leaves a lasting legacy through her grandchildren, Micah Traynham (wife Kyleigh), Noah Eller, and Thomas Traynham, and her great-grandchildren, Miles Traynham and Emersyn Traynham. Her brother, Peter Icard (wife Tracy), along with many beloved nieces and nephews, also mourn her passing.

Predeceased by her parents, brothers Reid Icard and John Mark Icard, and sister Joan Adcox, Ann's memory is lovingly cherished by all who knew her. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Medical Center for their compassion and excellent care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrisburg Funeral and Cremation. A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on Wednesday November 18, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with memorial service to follow at 12:00 pm at Raymer-Kepner Chapel, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078
