Arthur Lee Sanders

The family of Arthur Lee Sanders, affectionately known as Boobie, is deeply saddened to announce his passing on April 14, 2026 at the age of 74.

Born on August 8, 1951 in Lincolnton, NC, to Idella Sanders and Kenneth Nixon Sr., Boobie lived a full and remarkable life in Charlotte, NC, surrounded by family and friends. He was a good and kind man that never met a stranger and could make everyone feel comfortable. He could hold a conversation with anyone he met and talk about anything. Boobie was such a strong man, in presence and spirit. He always protected his family and provided for everyone.

Boobie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Jean (Tera); his children, Qiana (Willie Bell) and Airrik; grandchildren, Amarion and Zoe; brothers and sisters; a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cherished friends.

There will be a celebration of life service held at Raymer-Kepner Chapel, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC, on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Visitation will start at 11:00 A.M., and service at 12:00 P.M. Military burial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 27, 2026 at Salisbury National Cemetery.
