Ayesha Alana Colon, a talented pastry chef and beloved member of her community, passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 44 in Concord, NC. Born on September 26, 1981, in New York, NY, Ayesha brought creativity and passion to all aspects of her life, leaving behind a legacy of culinary artistry and kindness.
Ayesha's culinary journey began with her education in culinary school, where she honed her skills and developed an extraordinary talent for baking. Her internship at Felidia Italian Restaurant in Manhattan under the guidance of celebrity chef Lidia Bastianich marked a significant milestone in her career. Over the years, she became known for her exquisite pastries and meticulous attention to detail, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and customers alike through her dedication to exceptional service.
Beyond her professional life, Ayesha was a compassionate soul with a deep love for all animals, particularly cats, often seen feeding stray cats in her neighborhood. Ayesha's interests included a genuine passion for heavy metal music, a love for tattoos that expressed her unique individuality, and a talent for painting that reflected her creative flair.
Ayesha is survived by her father Clifton Fountain, her mother Inez Bruce (Roxanne Alarcon), her aunt Rhonda Bruce (Keith Lindsay), and a host of friends and family who will remember her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought into their lives.
A memorial gathering to honor Ayesha's life will be held on February 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Raymer-Kepner Chapel, located at 16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078.
Her legacy will continue to inspire those who had the pleasure of knowing her, as they celebrate her life, her creativity, and her undying love for the world around her. Ayesha Alana Colon will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered.
