Betty Louise Kissiah

Betty Louise Kissiah, 64, passed away June 4, 2018 at her home in Harrisburg, NC.

Betty was born June 4, 1954 to the late Edgar and Margret Kissiah in Concord, NC.

She was a free-spirit woman but was deeply devoted to her Christian faith.  Betty loved her family and never met a stranger. She was constantly adding to her list of loved ones because she made people feel so welcomed. While working at Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) at Fort Story in Virginia Beach, VA, Betty met many troops. These troops felt accepted as one of her children and would come to find her after their deployments abroad. She impacted the lives of many for the good.

She is survived by her children Tim Edwards, Steven Barton, Stephanie Barton, Jennifer Rice (James), Andrea "Nikki" Armstrong (Thomas), Loni Box and her fiance Jason Bare, and Ray Tucker, Jr. (Stacey Reames); Siblings Linda Yost, Frank Kissiah, and Elizabeth Aubrey, and her grandchildren Dylan, Ethan, Hannah, Tabitha, Lillian, Topanga, Tristan, Dalton, Emma, Mackenzie, Hayley, Cody, Logan, and Hunter.

She is preceded in death by her brothers David and Tony Kissiah.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 9, 2018 at 2pm at Loni Box's home.  Please contact Loni at 843-640-9151 or Nikki at 704-963-3465 for details about Celebration of Life details.
