Brenda Jewel Carpenter

Brenda M Carpenter, 78, passed away on December 20, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.

Brenda was born on December 9, 1940 to the late Reid and Dorothy McAlpine in Charlotte, NC.

In her younger years, Brenda enjoyed shagging, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. She worked many years in the graphic arts industry. During later years, she enjoyed gardening or “playing in the dirt”, spending time with her family and friends by the pool, making a beautiful home, and enjoying her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Brenda loved her animals through the years, giving many of them an extremely comfortable home.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle Furr (Darren) of Harrisburg, NC, son Michael Carpenter (Debbie ) of Marietta, GA, sister Inez Treadaway of Marshville, NC, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Carpenter and her brother Jim Reed.

Because of the holiday season and her love of family, her children have chosen to celebrate her life by spending time with their families during the holidays.
