It was no surprise to find Felipe and Carol on a dance floor and if she wasn’t dancing she was the lead singer on the karaoke machine.

Carol Ann Flores, 69, of Charlotte, NC passed away October 23, 2026 at her home with those she loved..

Carol was born in Ashtabula Ohio on May 23, 1957 to the late Mary and Sam Nelson.

Along with her parents Carol is preceded in death by sisters Betty Blair, Rose Nordquest , Gloria Rosario, Alice Nelson, brothers Frank and Sam Nelson and a grandson Blaze.

Carol married the love of her life Felipe Flores May 1,1994. Carol’s memory will be cherished by her 3 daughters Rosi Santiago from Ashtabula Ohio, Julie Pagán (Joaquin Gutierrez) from Kannapolis NC, Mary Carrillo(Edwin Carrillo) Charleston SC, Her beloved Grandchildren, Efrain Pagan, Saundra Pagan, Olga Hernandez, Roberto Hernandez, Jorge Hernandez, Monéca Morton, Mariah Morton, Josué Dornato, Juan Pacheco, Mercadie Nelson, Maria Carrillo and Crystal Eller and 9 great grandchildren.

Carol and Felipe were very devoted to there family they never missed a birthday or a holiday. It was no surprise to find Felipe and Carol on a dance floor and if she wasn’t dancing she was the lead singer on the karaoke machine . Carol also enjoyed playing cards bingo, and playing the slot machines.

Carol's family will celebrate her life on Wednesday October 28th. Viewing will be at 4pm with funeral service starting at 5pm at 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC.

Carol will be laid to rest next to her mother and siblings at a later date at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Ashtabula Ohio.
