Clifford Ray Chambers, Jr., affectionately known as Cliff, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Huntersville, North Carolina. Born on October 16, 1952, in Florence, South Carolina, Cliff was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brightened the lives of all who knew him.
Cliff was deeply cherished by his family and friends. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to share in his life. He was a man who valued his relationships dearly and fostered bonds that spanned generations. His family was his pride and joy, but Cliff also took pride in his lifelong career as truck driver. When not with his family or on the road, he could be found cheering for the Carolina Panthers or the Atlanta Braves.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Chambers. His sons, Paul Chambers of Cedar Pointe, NC, and Steven Chambers of Charleston, SC, carry forward his legacy alongside their wives, Jenny and Katy respectively. Cliff’s grandchildren—Bodhi of Cedar Pointe, NC, Meghan, and MT of Charleston, SC—will continue to cherish the memories they shared with their grandfather. Additionally, Cliff's siblings Donna Cayer, Marsha Stephens, and Kathy Hardee, along with their spouses Mike Cayer and Greg Hardee, remain part of the family circle, joined by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who hold his memory dear.
Cliff's journey on this earth was also framed by the memory of those who preceded him: his father, Clifford Ray Chambers, Sr.; his mother, Lessie Azalea Chambers; and his siblings James "Jimmy" Chambers, David Chambers, Dennis Chambers, and Dorothy Chambers.
A burial will be held on April 2, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, located at 3093 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, South Carolina 29414. This final resting place will serve as a quiet sanctuary where loved ones can reflect on a life well lived and the indelible mark Cliff left on their hearts.
In remembering Clifford Ray Chambers, Jr., we celebrate a life filled with love, connection, and the kind of gentle spirit that makes the world a better place. His legacy endures in the hearts of all who knew him, a testament to a life truly well lived.
