Dale Alan Carter

Dale Alan Carter, 56, went to his heavenly home May 8, 2018 at Universal Healthcare in Concord, NC.

Dale was born March 28, 1962 to the late Robert and Sophia Carter in Concord, NC.

Dale grew up in Concord, NC where he attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church with his family. He was paralyzed after a swimming accident at the age of 17 but did not let that stop him from enjoying life. His family remembers how he built sought-after RC cars from scratch. He loved drawing and enjoyed fishing and shooting with his brother Gene.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Carter and Doy Carter.

He is survived by his brothers Gene (Nancy) Carter of Concord and Wayne Carter of Indian Trail, niece Jeannie Carter-Siddle (Brian) and great-niece Sophie of Concord, nephew Thad Carter (Trista) and great-nephew Erik of Charlotte, special cousin Steve McDonald and special friend Tony Hinson of Concord.

A memorial service will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Family Visitation will be from 1- 2 pm.  The memorial service will start at 2 pm immediately followed by a graveside committal.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
