Daphne Elisa White was born October 24, 1970 in Omaha, Nebraska and raised in Montgomery, Alabama growing up in the midst of her extended family. She moved around the United States, earning a B.A. from Dillard University and landed in Chicago and later New York City, driven by her love of music and travel.
Following her true passion, she later earned her B.S.N from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, beginning her nursing journey. She was a lover of animals and people, constantly exploring unfamiliar languages and cultures. Her outgoing and loving spirit meant that she had the unique ability to cultivate community any place she landed. While she left us far too soon, her unrelenting desire to savor life is a testament to how much love she had to share.
Daphne is survived by her mother, Dr. Cynthia Beamon; father, Paul Booze; siblings Benae Beamon (Nikki), Urian Danielle "Dani" Booze, and Ba-Keamiorochio Booze; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
In keeping with Daphne’s love, we ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be sent in her name to the Humane Society of Charlotte.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 30. 2025 at Raymer-Kepner Chapel, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. A reception will follow the service.
