He was born to the late Richard Murray Sr and Frances E Pinckney on November 8, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA where he was also raised. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Murray II and his sister Zubinah Dowd.

His Wall Street dreams brought him to NY where he was introduced to the love of his life by his mother. He was then drafted to go into the army and served as a medic in Vietnam. When he came back, he married Barbara V. Christie.

Family was very important to Ed. He would do anything for them expecting nothing in return. When he gave, it was from the heart!
