Diane Hudler, 67, of Indian Land, South Carolina, faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, and sister went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Diane was born on November 3, 1956, to Virgil and the late Patricia Cox, a Baptist pastor and homemaker respectively, in Bel Air, Maryland. The Lord blessed her with an incredible talent for singing. Her love of Southern Gospel music would lead her to sing in a Quartet, and she would frequently sing with her father and older sister, Wanda, as well as other family members over the years.
Diane met the love of her life, Wayne, while attending a revival her father was preaching. They married on November 1, 1974. Together they raised their two daughters with patience, discipline, humility, and love. From the beginning they dedicated their children to the Lord and encouraged them to cultivate their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Diane served as Business Office Director at Brookdale Carriage Club Providence in Charlotte, North Carolina for 23 years until she retired in June 2022. She found purpose in serving the senior population, which she deeply loved. There she mentored many associates and made lasting friendships with people who came to mean so much to her.
Diane will be dearly missed by her family and friends, who celebrate the fact that she is now rejoicing in Heaven. Diane is survived by her husband, Wayne; daughters Amy Phillips and husband, Richard, of Charlotte and Stephanie Price, and husband Brian, of Indian Trail, grand-daughters Taylor Bushee and husband, Brett, of Archdale, Jordan Parker and husband, Chase, of Lancaster, SC. Reagan and Karson Price. Great-grandchildren Ellie and Corbin Bushee, and Emerie Parker. Her father, Virgil Cox of Rome, GA, sisters Wanda Belcher of Rome, GA, Donna Griffith and husband, Gary, of Lakeland, FL.
The family will receive friends from 10am-11am and a celebration of life service will begin at 11am on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Bible Baptist Church 255 US21 BYP Fort Mill, SC 29715 conducted by the Reverend James Parrish, pastor. Burial will follow at Price Cemetery in Indian Trail, NC.
