Jacob Bartley Doyle

Concord
Jacob Bartley Doyle, 84, of Concord, NC was called to his eternal home by his Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 31, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House. Jake walked by faith in this earthly life. But on Friday morning he saw Jesus face to face and is reunited with family in heaven.
Jake was born on February 12, 1940 in Charlotte, NC to the late Roscoe Doyle and Lillie Farmer Carland. He is also preceded in death by brother James Doyle and sister Cecelia Eagen. He is survived by brother, Wylie “Rody” Carland and his wife Marie, of Concord, NC, and sister, Freida Lingerfelt of Concord NC. Also his nephews and nieces: John Towe (Tammy), Matthew Carland (Jennifer), Sommer Harris, Kimberly Waisner (Matthew), 10 great nephews and nieces and one great-great nephew.
Jake retired from the City of Charlotte Water Department as Water Line Crew Chief. He was a member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church, Concord, N.C. He loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Woodcarving was a hobby he enjoyed in his retirement years.
Jake will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank all of his friends over the years for their friendship and support when needed. His service is private to family members only.
