James Lawrence Boone, Jr.

James Lawrence Boone, Jr., 67, of Charlotte, NC passed away on October 18, 2019.

Larry was born in Raleigh, NC on November 28, 1951 to Dorcas Boone and the late James L. Boone.

Along with his father, Larry is preceded in death by his beloved wife Kay Boone.

He is survived by his mother, Dorcas A. Boone, and three sisters, Deborah Stephens, Susan Kulikowski and Linda McElveen. Larry worked and retired from the City of Charlotte. He was also a very active and 30 year member of the Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon for many years.  Larry was a kind-hearted loving soul that went out of his way to help anyone in need. He adored his friends and family, riding trains and his little dachshunds Dixie and Stretch.
