Janie Louise Zissette

August 5, 1935 — February 23, 2024

Midland

In loving memory of Janie Louise Zissette, known to her family and friends as Louise, a beacon of kindness, generosity, creativity and unconditional love. Louise's presence on this earth was a gift to all crossed her path, for she had a remarkable ability to mend not only broken objects but also broken spirits with her loving warmth.

Born in Charleston, SC, to Howell and Lessie Blocker, Louise passed peacefully in Harrisburg, NC. As a cherished mother and grandmother, Louise poured her heart into nurturing her family and found joy in tending to her lovely gardens, where beauty bloomed under her care.

In the hearts of those she leaves behind, the memory of Louise live forever. She is survived by daughter, Linda Mains (George) of Atlanta;  daughter, Kim Wheeler of Midland; grandchildren, Ben Gunn, Samantha Gunn, and Nick Mains of Atlanta, and Derrick Wheeler and John Wheeler of Midland; great grandchildren Arielle, Hailey, Lucas, and Luna. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 74 years, Emory Zissette, and her cherished grandson, Travis Wheeler.

Our dear mom and grandma has left a permanent hole in our hearts, but we find peace and comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved husband whom she has missed so very deeply since his passing, as well as with other dear family members who were waiting to greet her in heaven.

Rest in peace, sweet mom, loving grandma – your legacy of love and light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
