Kathy Meeks

Kathy was born in Rutherford College, NC on September 23, 1962 to the late Truman and Shirley Shepard.

Along with her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her daughter Heather Pasley and nephew Samuel Brake.

She is survived by her husband of seventeen years Phillip Meeks, daughter Faye Simon (Michael), stepdaughters Stephanie Meeks and Ashley George (Prad), stepson Tyler Meeks, siblings Cynthia Shepard, William Shepard (Karla), Alisa Brake (Jonathan), several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and her dogs Angel Joy and Daisy Mae.

Kathy was a very special person to many and loved her family and friends well. Kathy loved to travel and see new places with Phil. She enjoyed being outdoors, birdwatching, and traveling. St. Jude Children's Hospital and Hemby Children's Hospital held a special place in her heart. Every year she would take gift bags to the hospital to help spread joy.  Kathy loved cooking, reading, and writing. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

Donations in Kathy's honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.

The family will hold a memorial service for Kathy Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation starting at 10AM.
