Margaret Farmer Austin

Margaret Farmer Austin, 91, of Charlotte, NC passed away on January 9, 2023.

Margaret was born in Chester, SC to the late Julius Farmer and Callie Shelton.

Along with her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Gordon Austin, her son Dennis Austin and her sisters Vergie Helms, Grace Stewart, Doris Deese, Virginia Richardson, and Francis McLaughlin, her son-in-laws Edward Moser and Guy Haynes, Jr. and her granddaughter Brooke Austin.

She is survived by her seven children Barbara Haynes, Marvin Austin, Brenda Moser, Lawrence Austin (Karen), Donna Ratcliffe (Mike), James Austin, and Lisa Austin; twenty-three grandchildren John (Janna), Justin, Jessica, Joshua (Whitney), Jeremy, Donovan, Amanda (Billy), Callie (Daniel), Samantha, Jake, Diane, Melissa, Mikey (Lauren), MJ (Amber), Daniel, Brandon (Brooke), Kayleigh (David), Hailey, Alex (Krystin), Mariah, Kiara, Sammie, and Janessa and thirty-four great-grandchildren.

Margaret's family will remember the love and care she offered everyone she knew, her spunky personality and her contagious laughter.

Margaret's favorite Bible verse and knowing what it means to her eternity:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

A visitation will be held from 11am - 1pm in the Chapel at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 pm. She will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens.
