Mildred Darlene Blackwelder, a beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away on May 18, 2025, in her hometown of Concord, North Carolina, where she was born on December 21, 1933. Mildred was known for her loving spirit and her joyful sense of humor, qualities that endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her life, Mildred demonstrated faith in the Lords. She was a devoted mother, particularly to her daughter, Kathy Gray, and she shared a special bond with her granddog, Max, who brought her much joy and companionship over the years.
In her younger years, Mildred had a passion for sewing and enjoyed bowling, activities that reflected her creative spirit and her zest for life. These hobbies were just a few of the many ways she expressed her vibrant personality.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Cletus Blackwelder and Viola Starnes Blackwelder, as well as her son, Kirby Fink, and her former husband, Thomas Fink. Although they are no longer with us, their memories remain a cherished part of Mildred's journey.
