Neal Wayne Dehmler

December 29, 1964 — October 31, 2024

New York

Neal Wayne Dehmler, 59, of Dansville, NY passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 31, 2024. He was born on December 29, 1964 in Dansville, NY to Angie Gail Gray McCanna and the late David Neil Dehmler.

He is survived by his mother, Angie Gail Gray McCanna; son, Dar Dehmler; son, Nathan Dehmler; daughter, Elizabeth Dale; Step daughter, Rachel Fields; Brother, Chad Dehmler; Daughter-in-law Audra Auten Dehmler; grandson, Iver Dehmler, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Neal lived a life driven by a fierce passion for adventure, craftsmanship, and he was a man who never shied away from a challenge. Neal found peace in one of his many great passions: pool building. He brought the same level of craftsmanship and dedication to each pool he created, turning simple backyard spaces into serene, breathtaking retreats.

Through it all, Neal was a man who lived with purpose—always building, always creating, and always pushing himself and others to live life to the fullest. He will be remembered not just for his remarkable skills, but for the passion, dedication, and love he brought to everything he did.

Above all, Neal loved being a father. His children were his greatest pride, and he cherished every moment with them, sharing in their growth and guiding them with warmth and kindness. Whether he was showing them how to turn a wrench or just enjoying their company, his love for them was limitless. His love for his children and his passion for his craft were two of the driving forces in his life. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the lessons he taught, the work he left behind, and the love he gave.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to help with expenses.
