Patricia Ann Frank, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024, in Concord, NC. She was born on February 13, 1937, in Suitland, MD, to Walter Douglas Koontz Jr. and Helen Irene Comer Koontz. Patricia will be remembered for her warm heart, outgoing personality, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.
Pat's adventurous spirit was evident from a young age. She loved camping and traveling with her family and exploring new places. In 2020, she fearlessly embraced change when she relocated from High Point to Concord. As soon as she arrived in the new community, Pat wasted no time getting involved at the Senior Center and establishing connections throughout the area. Her ability to make new friends effortlessly was a testament to her genuinely kind nature.
If there was one thing Pat was known for amongst family and friends, it was her exceptional talent for creating mouthwatering banana pudding. Her skill in the kitchen brought joy to countless gatherings and celebrations over the years. The memory of Pat's delectable dessert will be forever cherished by all who were fortunate enough to taste it.
Pat possessed an exceptionally social character. She had an uncanny ability to draw people towards her with her infectious energy and witty sense of humor. Her outgoing nature ensured that she always found herself surrounded by a crowd wherever she went.
Beyond her sociability and humor, she consistently found ways to help others. Whether it was lending a helping hand or offering a listening ear, Pat's compassion touched countless lives throughout her time on earth. She was very family-oriented and cared deeply for all of her family. She had special relationships with her grandson and great-nephews and enjoyed being part of their lives.
Pat had a wide range of interests that kept her engaged and fulfilled throughout her life. She found solace in various hobbies, including crafts, sewing, needlework, reading, and puzzles. Additionally, she was a regular player of bingo, dominos and cards, always bringing fun and excitement to game nights. Pat had a deep appreciation for the natural world and loved flowers and birds, even though she acknowledged that she wasn't exactly blessed with a green thumb. The sight of hummingbirds and butterflies fluttering around brought her immense joy.
Patricia's passing is mourned deeply by her loving family and friends. She now joins her late husband, Max Frank, in eternal peace. She is survived by her daughter Judy F Davidson, son-in-law Scott Davidson, grandson Brandon Phelps, and sister and brother-in-law Bonnie Jo and Lloyd DeMarr, niece and nephews Arllette, Rick and Rob.
A private gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
