Peggy Joyce Gambill

Peggy Joyce Gambill, 83, of Harrisburg, NC passed away on January 30, 2022. Peggy was born in Skelton, WV to the late Eugene and Elizabeth Hawks on March 2, 1938.

Along with her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gambill; brother, Larry Hawks; and sister, Shirley Harper. 

She is survived by her sister, Sarah Puckett; Brother, Rick (Tracy) Hawks; daughter, Debra Brown, daughter, Kathy Williams; son, Mark (Pam) Gambill; granddaughter, Taylor (Ben) Bowman; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family. She was Nan Nan to Jackson Egbert, Eva Egbert, and Jazmyn Clark.

Peggy was a kind and big hearted person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Those who met her left with a smile. She loved life and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 2:00PM at 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. A reception will follow immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s.
