Revonda Sloan Curtis, known fondly as Vonda, passed away on August 6, 2023, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC. She was born on February 14, 1956, in Catawba County, NC. Revonda lived a life filled with love and touched the hearts of everyone she met.

Revonda had a vibrant personality that radiated warmth and kindness. As a wife, she was devoted and loving, always putting her family first. Her heart overflowed with love, and her actions spoke volumes of her caring nature. Revonda cherished her family dearly and found joy in their happiness.

She had a strong will and an unwavering determination that inspired those around her. In the face of challenges, Revonda exhibited resilience and courage that were truly remarkable. Her strength was a beacon of hope for others and left an indelible mark on their lives.

One of Revonda's favorite pastimes was strolling along the sandy shores of the beach, collecting beautiful seashells along the way. The ocean brought her peace and tranquility while connecting her to the wonders of nature. These precious memories of peaceful moments will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her love for the beach, Revonda was renowned for her exceptional culinary skills. She had an innate talent for cooking delicious Southern comfort food that brought joy to countless gatherings. Her potato salad and chicken and dumplings were irresistible delights that left everyone longing for more. Through her delectable creations, she showed her love with every bite.

Revonda will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to have shared in her life's journey. She is survived by her beloved husband LeRoy Curtis; loving children Michael Arnold (Mandy) and Chasity Silvis (Mike); devoted siblings Kathy Graves (Don), Ray Sloan (Renee), Ranae Brantley (Chad); dear sister-in-law Dianne Davis; four cherished grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Dean Sloan and Betty Bumgarner Sloan, her sister Brenda Kay Sloan and brother Rick Davis.

A memorial service will be held on August 12, 2023, at Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation, located at 3840 NC Hwy 49 South, Harrisburg, NC 28075. The service will commence at 11:00 AM with an opportunity for friends and family to gather and share their memories.

Revonda Sloan Curtis was a remarkable woman who brought joy, love, and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kind heart, determination, and ability to find beauty in the simple pleasures of life touched the lives of many. While we mourn her loss deeply, let us also remember the happiness she brought into our lives. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
