Shirley Mavis Shepard

Shirley Mavis Shepard, 81, passed away on May 16, 2017 at Pruitt Health in Harrisburg, NC.

Shirley was born on July 21, 1935 to the late Ray and Zelma Goble.

She is survived by her son William Shepard (Karla), daughters Cindy Shepard, Kathy Meeks (Phillip), Alisa Brake (Jonathan), and grandchildren Tiffany, Breé, Faye, Kaitlyn, Rebekah, Kyle, Bethany, Jenna, Katie Grace, and Alison.

Shirley was a loving and kind mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as watching baseball. She was a big Atlanta Braves fan and also liked cheering for the Carolina Panthers. Shirley loved animals especially hummingbirds. She loved also loved reading.

She is preceded in death by her husband Truman Shepard and grandchildren Heather Pasley and Samuel Brake.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 20, 2017 at Harrisburg United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
