Stacie Doren Cole, a fierce spirit rooted in purpose, passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on October 25, 1964, in Freeport, New York, Stacie grew up in a close-knit family where she developed the fierce independence, intellect, and spiritual grounding that would define her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius Cole and Pearline Harrington—both strong-willed, tenacious, and selfless individuals who passed on their boldness, grounding, and sense of steadfastness to Stacie.
Stacie was a proud Moorish American whose life was deeply rooted in the Divine and National Principles of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice. These standards shaped not only her belief system but her daily actions. A devoted member, she was passionate about racial pride, self-sufficiency, and economic empowerment—values she championed with conviction and clarity.
Outspoken, joyful, and opinionated in the best of ways, Stacie never hesitated to speak her truth. She had a natural presence that was both commanding and deeply human, and she remained a passionate voice for justice and accountability in every space she occupied. She also found joy in the simple, grounding pleasures of life—tending to her plants, building community, and sharing wisdom freely.
Stacie is survived by her siblings: Sandra Cole, Sharon (Robert) White, Pamela Cole Stanley, Lizabeth Cole Kelly, Keith Cole, and Aldean Cole, along with a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, all of whom knew her as a source of strength, knowledge, and fierce love.
She is remembered as a powerful presence—one who lived with clarity, gave with intention, and loved with fierce truth. Her legacy will remain etched in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to walk alongside her.
“She embraced life fully, spoke her mind fearlessly, and found joy in every journey.”
