Thomas Elmer Sherrill, Jr

Thomas Elmer Sherrill, Jr. passed away on Friday February 5, 2021 at the Tucker Hospice House.

Thomas was born on July 16, 1932 to the late Thomas Elmer and Cordy Overcash Sherrill. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Pardue Sherrill and son Gary Sherrill.

He is survived by daughters Debbie Raymer (Bill) and Karen Stallings (Rick) of Concord; son Steve Sherrill of Concord, sister Betty Sipes of Winter Haven, FL; grandchildren Christina Stallings, Brian Stallings (Candra) and Darren Raymer (Dawn); great grandchildren Andrew Stallings, Dusk Raymer, Adaline Stallings, and Anniston Stallings.

Mr. Sherrill in his younger years played baseball, was an avid bowler, and bowled with several leagues. On Friday he loved to go watch Central football games. He retired from the Cabarrus County School system working at Central Cabarrus High School. He loved his favorite NASCAR driver Richard Petty.

Graveside service will be Tuesday February 9, 2021 at 1PM at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. Graveside will be conducted by Reverend Beau Mills.
