Timothy Newell Hollis, age 76, died in his home in Pilot Mountain, NC on Thursday, September 17, 2020.
He was the first of six children born to Charles Paul Hollis and Mary Jeannette Cohagan, along with James (his twin), Patrick, Jacqueline, Jeffrey and Jill. He is survived by his wife Agnes Hollis (nee Koeberer), with whom he recently celebrated their 50th anniversary, daughter Megan, sons James and Alan, granddaughter Heather and grandson Rowan.
Timothy was in the second class admitted to St. Peter Chanel High School and later graduated from Baldwin Wallace University. He dedicated 23 years working for the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company before transitioning to a second career in the travel industry. He retired to Pilot Mountain, NC in 2008 and was a member of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church. He was an active member of the Church as a Eucharistic Minister and as a lay Franciscan. Known as the family genealogist, with a passion for history and always interested in making connections to people far and wide, he was keen to share his discoveries. He will be remembered for his love for travel and instilling that quality in his family.
A private memorial Mass will be said by his cousin Father Mark Hollis on Tuesday, September 29.
