Verna Mae Thompson, 75, passed away on March 13, 2018 at her home in Concord, NC.
She was born on August 24, 1942 to the late James and Emma Knight in Panama City, FL.
Verna was a generous, caring and loving person who never met a stranger. Her warm nature made her easy to talk to and a comfort to those around her.
She is survived by her children Mark Sowell (Linda), Shelly Sowell, and Brian Sowell (Julie); as well as her grandchildren Peyton, Nicholas, and Taylor.
She is preceded in death by Scott Thompson and Harry Sowell.
