A Life of Faith, Family, and Lasting Legacy

Victor William Wells, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, peacefully entered his heavenly home on August 17, 2025, at the age of 82. His journey was one adorned with faith, perseverance, and love—a legacy cherished by all whose lives he touched.

Early Life and Service

Victor was born on November 19, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to Channie and William Wells. From the very beginning, he was nurtured in an environment that valued faith in Jesus Christ, steadfast family bonds, and an unwavering spirit. In 1964, Victor answered the call to serve his country, joining the military with pride and dedication.

Professional Life and Adventures

Following his military service, Victor completed his apprenticeship with Chrysler, where he became a skilled tool designer. His career in engineering opened doors to the world—turning him into a globe-trotter and broadening his horizons. Victor’s curiosity and passion for exploration led him to countless destinations, experiences he later shared with loved ones as their eager tour guide.

A Love Story for the Ages

In 1969, Victor married the love of his life, Sharon Louise Paine. Together, they built a marriage grounded in mutual respect, devotion, and adventure, celebrating 56 beautiful years side by side. Whether traveling the world or gathering with family, Victor’s unwavering commitment to Sharon remained the heart of his life’s journey.

Family—His Greatest Joy

Victor was the proud father of two daughters: Sharron (Kevin) Wells-Farmer and Charlene (David) Dyer. He delighted in guiding his family with wisdom, humor, and a love that knew no bounds. Victor was lovingly referred to as “Grand-Daddy-O,” he found immense joy in his grandchildren and was intentional about playing an integral part of their lives. Royal Wells and Parah Lenay Farmer, and his great-grandchildren, Brielle Majesty Wells and Prince Quiton Alexander Wells will ensure his legacy lives on through them, as they carry the Wells name and spirit with honor and pride.

Passions and Character

Victor found happiness in the simple pleasures of life: deep sea fishing, embracing the rhythms of music, discussing world affairs, studying astronomy and geography, and relishing fellowship with family and friends. He was known for his forward-thinking nature, grateful heart, and devotion to serving God and uplifting others.

A Legacy of Faith and Love

Victor was preceded in death by his half-brother Howard Boykins, his Father William Wells, Mother Channie Wells, his brother Joseph Wells, and several beloved relatives. He leaves behind his devoted wife Sharon, his daughters Sharron and Charlene, sons-in-law Kevin and David, his adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brother Bernard Wells, a host of cousins, and countless friends who stayed with him on his journey.

Victor chose to walk faithfully with the Lord throughout his life, serving as a beacon of hope, faith, and inspiration. Now, he rests safely in the presence of his Savior, welcomed home after a life well-lived. As we celebrate Victor’s life of victory, we give thanks to God for the years we were blessed to share with him.
