In Loving Memory of Vinodrai Desai

Vinod Desai, 83, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Saturday September 7, 2024. Born on October 19, 1940, in Navsari, Gujarat, India. Vinod lived a life marked by kindness and a love for all those around him.

Vinod's early years were shaped by the values of family and hard work, which he carried with him throughout his life. He immigrated to the United States in 1972, where he built a new life and became a beloved member of the local community.

Throughout his life, Vinod was known for his unwavering commitment to his family and his work. He was a cherished member of the hotel industry where he spent his entire professional career.

 Vinod was born to the late Lallubhai and Rukshmaniben Desai.  Along with his parents Vinod is preceded in death by his late wife Jayshree Desai.   

Vinod is remembered with great love by his two sons: Kedar and Malhar, his daughter-in-laws: Sheetal and Ketaki and two granddaughters: Mira and Sophia. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his family. His warm smile, gentle spirit, and wise counsel will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 2 PM at the Raymer-Kepner Chapel, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.  Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Vinod's life and legacy. 

Vinod Desai’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.  Though he will be greatly missed, his spirit will remain with us always.
