Linda Darlene Cranford

On Saturday, April 17, at 5:47pm there was a celebration in heaven as Linda Darlene Freeman Cranford was welcomed home. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born in Concord, the daughter of Dan and Mary Freeman. She was a 1965 graduate of Winecoff High School. She earned her RN at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital (now Atrium Health - Cabarrus), caring for countless patients over the years, and later joined her husband Arnold as a long-haul truck driver, touring the country with her beloved. Linda enjoyed traveling. She and her husband cruised the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas, seeing the world. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She was well known for her generosity, the person who would truly give you the shirt off her back.

Linda is survived by the love of her life, Mr. Arnold Rex Cranford, brother Danny Franklin Freemen (Sue) of Concord, daughter Susan Ennis Benton (Mark) of Charleston, son Robert Wayne Ennis II of Concord, son John Michael Ennis (Patti) of Lake Wylie, daughter-in-love Donna Ballard James of Concord, daughter-in-love Trena Mauldin Shutters (Scott) of Concord, daughter-in-love Kathy Miller Webb (Randy) of Mount Pleasant, step-daughter Pamela Cranford Cannaday (David) of Tifton, GA, step-daughter Tracy Cranford Scarborough (David) of Concord, step-daughter Penny Cranford Dunlap (Brian) of Concord, grandchildren Brooke (Brandon), Zachary, Tristan, Dylan (Ashleigh), Abigail, Noah, Jordan (Jennifer), Jarrett, Gavin, Blair, Jessica, Brennan, Brittany, Taylor, Kevin, Hannah, Jordan, Christian, and great-grandchildren Kamden, Addison, Benton, Grant, Corbin and Ellie. She is also mourned by countless friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was greeted in heaven by her beloved son Mr. Daniel Shane Ennis, her beloved granddaughter Miss Stephanie Nicole Ennis, and her loving parents.

The family would like to express much gratitude to the wonderful staff of Atrium Health in Concord for their kindness, forthrightness, and loving care during Linda’s final days.

There will be a wake at the family home on Saturday, April 24 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if you donated to your church or favorite charity in memory of Linda.
