Obituary

Sandra (Sandy) McClish Wyrick, 80 years young, passed away peacefully at her home on July 14, 2020. She was born January 1940 in Hannibal, Missouri to Irvin and Lois McClish. She married Ronald Tracy Wyrick in September of 1958, who preceded her in death in March of 1994.

Sandy loved to work and serve others. She retired from Wray Ward as a Senior Media Buyer just 5 years ago. She enjoyed serving the community with her beloved church ladies or anywhere she thought she could make a difference. She was an avid reader and loved Brit Box where she could lose herself in those English Mysteries. She never claimed to be a good cook, but would always arrive with food she had prepared to attend her weekly Bible Studies.

Sandy is survived by her brother and wife William and Hope McClish, sister and husband Carla and Chuck Kelsay; sister-in-law and husband, Gypsy and Fred Holt; her son, Gary Wyrick, daughters and husbands, Michelle (Mitzi) and Merrell Taylor, and Teresa and Jeff Reynolds; grandchildren, Jason  Lowery and his wife Ashley, Courtney Satterfield, Tracie Taylor and fiancé Josh Henderson, Brianna Reynolds and Nick Munro, Thomas Taylor and Samantha Reynolds; plus 2 great grandchildren Austin Lowery and Connor Henderson and her many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved deeply.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday, July 17 at Red Cross Baptist Church,112 W. Red Cross Road in Oakboro, NC. Visitation will be from 1 to 2pm with her Celebration of Life immediately following. She will then be laid to rest beside her husband at the First Baptist Church of Midland’s cemetery.
